Making Money Out Of Blogging ?

Filed Under (Make Money, Network Marketing, Writing your Blog, business, internet marketing, make money online, own business, part-time, surplus Income) by kksiong on 11-11-2008

In today’s society, a large percentage of students and working adults are computer literate. They use a computer for projects or work-related functions in one way or another. As the society becomes more affluent, more people are relying on computer to solve their daily needs.

You can practically do anything on the web as long as you have a computer with a broadband feature that links you to the world. People are shopping, trading, gambling, studying, stealing, sabotaging and doing all sorts of activities via the net.

Naturally, there is also a group of people who are scouring the web for opportunities to make money. Some of them are so naive that they believe that money can be made vulgarly in just a few days or weeks. They are easily misled by the over-hype Sales Article that these webmasters have posted on their websites. They are usually the earlier victim who part with their money unnecessarily and after a short period of time, screaming that Internet Marketing business is not feasible, or a scam or not-doable ( does it sound familiar ? just like those who comment about the MLM or Networking business )

There is also another group of people who thinks that just by starting a blog ( which you can do for FREE ) and selling some high priced advertising space to rich companies is enough to make them rich.

Yes, blogging is big on the Internet at the moment but you won’t be making millions by starting your own blog. Blogging is a tool that is used by many very successful Internet marketers but it is not a business per se. There are a few blogs that are owned and operated by people who are famous or infamous that make money selling advertising space.

You must always ask this question: “What do the owner gain out of this offer ?”  You can be pretty sure that they are doing it for their own benefit and they are not going to make you rich. They are selling something that will makes money for themselves !

The marketing hype is so great that they make you think that you can turn your blog into a “money-making machine”.

Do you know how many blog sites are there on the Internet? I can’t but my guess its almost 300 millions !

Do you think that it is easy to get any Huge multimillion corporations to pay you for advertising space on your unknown blog ?  Fact: You aren’t going to make much selling advertising space on your blog site.

You could still make some money to continue doing what you’re doing but you need to understand that succeeding in the world of Internet commerce isn’t going to happen overnight. It takes a lot of your time, effort and energy to make it a success, just like a normal MLM or Network Marketing business.

Of course, there are plenty of “con-men” out there that will try to convince you that there are shortcuts that will make you successful and wealthy overnight. They are lying!

My advise though is to start something, like having a blog or website like this, so that you can explore what could be done to generate some surplus income for your rainy day. It’s not going to be easy but then it’s not too difficult either if only you take that first step to try it out.

There are also many legitimate webmasters out there who are trying to help you, as a result it will help themselves too, but you have to be brave enough to venture into that unknown frontier that might lead you to some form of income generating schemes.

You can start building your FREE Blog today !

Never Take Rejection As Face Value

Filed Under (business, own business) by kksiong on 26-10-2008

In business, we all face rejections one way or another everday but there are many who are affected very badly by it. It is quite fascinating why another person opinion can have an impact on their life.

A rejection should never be taken at face value.

For all we know, the person who seems to be rejecting us could be faking it. Reason being, he or she is too ashamed to admit that they don’t understand what we are talking about, so to “save face” and not appear ignorant or naive, they could simply say “No, I’m not interested in what you are proposing.”

They could also be preoccupied with other thoughts at that moment and could not fully concentrate on what you were saying. The list of reasons is endless of why a person’s first reaction to us may be something less than positive, and it is wise to give people a second, or even a third, chance to accept the idea we are
proposing to them.

The average person is more of a pessimist than an optimist as such we must break this barrier. We must break through to a higher level in life, relationships, or business, we must break free from the thinking that holds us down to the level of average, or even below average, perception.

The majority of new people we encounter are going to be more prone to see only the limitations of life rather than the great possibilities of life. ” Rejection is an interesting thing. None of us like it, so most people try to avoid it. But if we avoid rejection, we are also simultaneously avoiding success ”

Do not allow ourselves to become too dependent on needing the approval of others. Be a thermostat rather than a thermometer ( e.g. Fixed Goal ) It is important to learn the art of “mastering the mundane”. This means that you have the ability to say the same exact words and paint the same exact picture of your vision or opportunity hundreds, or even thousands, of times to different people and still keep your strong passion and deep conviction flowing with every word you speak. You may have said those words so many times that you don’t even have to think about what you are going to say anymore. This will allow you to put your full concentration on creating the greatest possible dynamics in your presentation.

Truth is always our objective. Excuses are one of the favorite techniques people use when they are trying to avoid committing to any idea or plan that will improve their lives.

Business Women in 21st Century

Filed Under (Make Money, Manage your finances, Network Marketing, Residual Income, Writing your Blog, business, home based, internet marketing, make money online, own business, part-time, surplus Income) by kksiong on 07-10-2008

When the first generation of women entered the workforce in earnest in the 1970s, they succeeded in the only way they could – by imitating men.  Authoritarian leadership and tight control was the hallmark of that day’s businessman, and women were not exactly welcomed into the ranks of management.  Well ladies, that was yesterday, and today is today!

Forget what your mama or your boss told you, because following the rules can be bad for your career.  Today’s CEO/entrepreneur can no longer tap his/her company’s full potential using a “command-and-control” style.  The 21st century business woman needs to be able to build a vision based on the awareness of economic transformation, then help her partners and staff fulfill that vision.  She must draw on a wide range of skills to get to the top and stay there.  Following are 7 Key Characteristics that are essential:

1. Sell the Vision: A leader with a fresh, independent plan for her company’s growth and future has a distinct advantage in luring and keeping great talent and investors.  Vision is not some lofty ideal, but an obtainable concept that is easy to understand and will make the company grow to another level.

2. Reinvent the Rules:  While women have traditionally been socialized to please others, the 21st century leader knows that good girls rarely post great returns. The strong managers/owners today not only anticipate change, they create entirely new organizations that respond to shifts and search for innovation.

3. Achieve With A Laser Focus:  Go where others fear to tread! Being aggressive and ambitious has long been considered male traits, but they are key qualities for new leaders.  Today’s business woman has the ability to home in on opportunities that others may simply not see, and then excel in that uncharted territory.

4. Use High-Touch in a High-Tech Era:  When a number of leaders are conducting business by e-mail, voice mail, passwords, and PINs, the female entrepreneur succeeds because she guides with a strong, personal, bed-side manner. Today’s business woman is just as technologically savvy as her peers, but her skill with staff and customers is “high-touch” which gives her a critical edge and separation from the “pack”.

5. Challenge or Opportunity? – Women are great at turning a challenge into an opportunity instead of using the “slash-and-burn” approach.  They are able to make bold strokes, but they also win the cooperation of others in the organization in making any transformation a success.

6. A Customer Preference Obsession:  In this information age which makes it easier to shop around for the best “whatever”, businesses must work harder to give people what they want before their competitors do.  There is no substitute for spending time with clients to become expert at their businesses and learn their demands.  Female leaders are almost intuitively adept in doing just that, and without the client even suspecting.

7. Courage Under Fire:  Show me any career woman or female entrepreneur today that isn’t able to “stand-the-heat” in any tough-call situation.  Their decision-making skills are rooted in a high level of confidence, because they’ve had to weather and surpass any and all “corporate” storms they’ve encountered over time.

It takes a certain mind-set and bravado for anyone to start their own business and succeed, but it’s even more difficult for a female entrepreneur.  Let’s face it, ladies!  You’ve always had to be twice-as-smart and twice-as-confident as any male counterpart in the corporate world.  After all, if you can bear and raise the future generation, how can running a successful business scare you ?
